Indiana Freshman: Summer Update

IU Hoosier41
  • This past Friday, the Indiana Hoosier freshman got a chance to meet with the media to talk about their development and summer session down in Bloomington.

Indiana Freshman Noah Vonleh, Devin Davis, Luke Fischer, Troy Williams, Colin Hartman and Stan Robinson shared some insights into what they've been up to since coming down to Bloomington. It certainly sounds like the Hoosiers were able to jump right in to the swing of things!

BtownBanners Survery:

Q1: Which Freshman are you most excited about?

Q2: Which Freshman will make the biggest impact this season?

Q3: Which Freshman is the "Sleeper" of the year?

Q4: Which Freshman will have the greatest career at Indiana. (Note: Some players may leave early, therefore their career may not be as good as others)

Q1:  Noah Vonleh - Most excited about Noah because I think he has a great chance to come in and dominate.  Indiana will be a better team when he is on the floor.

Q2:  Noah Vonleh - Same as above

Q3: Stan Robinson - Most poeple are really excited about Noah and Troy already, but I don't think Stan is getting the love he deserves.

Q4:  Devin Davis - Over four years, Devin will have an incredible impact on Indiana Basketball.  Davis does the little things and gets after the rebounds which affects the outcome of the game. Can' wait for 4 years of Mr. Davis.

I have to be most excited about two of these guys.  It's a toss up between Noah Vonleh and Troy Williams.  I've watched film on both of them and they both look stellar.  Not having the size we were accustomed too for two years won't be an issue as the athleticism is there and seems like it will be more of a factor for a few years.  Stan Robinson I can see being the sleeper of this group just because the other two are more "hyped" than Robinson is.  Stan comes off too me as the backbone and the hustle guy, the "quiet one" who does whatever is asked of him.  Almost like A.J. Moye (one of my favorite Hoosiers EVER).  It'd be huge if Robinson plays that role, and he may not.  He just seems to me that he could be that guy for IU.  Basically fall in Sheehey's footsteps because Sheehey will also have a different role to fill this year.

I follow all these guys on twitter and it seems like they have more than enjoyed themselves while being in Bloomington.  I am more than excited to see these guys on the floor and how they'll blend in with Yogi and Sheehey.  Its a great time to be a Hoosier fan, Tom Crean is making an impact, and as apart of Hoosier Nation he has my support.
